| Wildwood People Partners Mike
"Spumoni" Manetas and Brooks Otis opened the Wildwood Music store
in 1974, spinning off from what was to later become Wildwood Banjos.
After three decades, Mike and Brooks have made Wildwood Music one
of the leading music stores in the Pacific Northwest, and the musical
heart of Humboldt County. This September the Wildwood torch was
passed on to 15-year manager Sean Bohannon and 3-year employee Errol
Previde.
Perhaps what is best about Wildwood staff is that we each take
music seriously, but not ourselves. Each one of us gigs locally
with bands and/or as soloists. Some also teach private and group
lessons; most of us are multi-instrumentalists.

The Founding Fathers of
Wildwood are Brooks Otis and Mike "Spumoni" Manetis. |

Rocco Danger Previde - Current
Wildwood Mascot / Future CEO
Rocco enjoys the taste of all instruments, but seems to be partial
to his dad's 1956 Gibson ES-150 and all percussion instruments.

Co-Owner Errol 'the Putz' Previde
Errol plays acoustic and electric guitars, bass, ukele, egg shaker,
and nose flute.

Co-Owner Sean Bohannon
Sean plays mandolin, guitar, and dobro and is largely responsible
for the local ukulele craze.
Every other Saturday night Sean hosts a didgeridoo workshop/jam
session at his home, teaching local enthusiasts about the instrument
and the history of his native aboriginal ancestry. Call for a reservation
as this event is usually standing room only!
He is also our PA and electronics wiz, and a highly respected
sound engineer. Many of the local sound folks were taught by Sean,
who has worked with bands from everywhere round the world.
Sean usually works Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. When not
in the shop, he's often playing bluegrass with the Compost
Mountain Boys; when not in the state, he's almost always in
Hawaii. |

Duncan Burgess
Duncan Burgess has been at Wildwood for more than twenty years.
He is a versatile musician and sings, plays bass, guitar and sax.
Over the years, he has worked with just about every musician in
Humboldt county.
Duncan describes himself as a 'chord maven.' And he knows the
melodies, chords and words to an incredible number of tunes. |

Abe 'the Sting' Ray
Abe Ray is our newest employee. He brings to Wildwood expertise
in electric and acoustic guitars, digital recording, PA stuff and
hardware. Abe is heavily involved in The
Placebo, a local all-ages music venue promoting local and touring
underground music.

He has four CD's to his credit, gigs extensively throughout Humboldt
County, and teaches guitar and dulcimer lessons through Arcata
Parks and Recreation.
Mike plays guitar, banjo, dulcimer and bass, performing his guitar
work exclusively in alternate tunings. Outside the store, you can
catch him at local fairs, festivals and fundraisers, at Moonrise
Herbs during Arts Arcata, or virtually on his website at www.humboldt1.com/~darkrain.
